Local produce

A region of many sights, delights and tastes – here’s just a sample of the local produce you’ll find in South West England!

Chedddar, Cheese, Somerset,

The Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company are alone in keeping the traditional art of Cheddar making alive in the heart of the village of Cheddar. Their cheese has won many prizes and in the last two years has won awards at the British Cheese Awards and the Royal Bath and West Show.

At the Shebbear Cheese Co. they make all their cheeses by hand in small batches using pasteurised milk from Dunstaple Farm, a well-known Devon ice cream maker. It is this unique combination of creamy milk and traditional cheese making techniques that give their  cheeses their buttery rich flavour.
